Brake light!

I have a real annoying problem with my 94 Transport and am looking for ideas before tearing into it. The red brake light (not the ABS) comes on from time to time. It will come on for a few seconds, then go back out.
My first thought wold be the parking brake switch, but this checks out fine.
My second thought would be the brake proportioning valve (the one that will shut off on side if fluid is lost so you still have brakes) but all 4 brakes seem to function just fine with the light on. The fluid is topped off fine so it is not a low fluid issue.
ABS works just fine.
I think I might flush all 4 brake cylinders to see if this helps, but would like to know if anyone else had this problem.
Anyone?

Cleaned the connector going to the brake proprtioning valve, in the hope that it was not a good connection. Solved the problem on my 95 transport.
