What is boost?

Another stupid question but i found the right thread and searched and didnt find anything. What is boost on the gst? I looked at some of them and most of them have the boost gauge. Also what is the power band and does the boost come stock on the eclipse?

you go calling people douchbags for answering your questions and you dont even know what fucking boost is? Well for starters its air being forced into your engine, aka, forced induction, if i am losing you just let me know, and that is created by a turbo or supercharger..... in short it makes you go faster..... if the eclipse has a turbo, then yes, boost comes stock on an eclipse (gst, gsx) :banghead:
