Headlight Replacement

My headlights are all sort-of yellowy and dull and they pretty much just don't work very well. It's pretty tough to see anything when its real dark out.

I've seen that most new cars have headlights that are a blueish white rather than yellowish and thats what I'd like to get. They look like they work better and I think they also make the car look better :grinyes: What are the specs that I need to look for in headlights in order to get the best ones I can? The only things that I think I'm worried about is that they should be as bright as possible and preferably that blueish kind. I'm not sure what those specs would be called, and how they're measured.

Is there a "best" (or second best if they're TOO expensive) brand/kind of headlight that I could just get and not have to worry about shopping around for them? Also, what's a good place online to order them?

In my search I just found some stuff on Ebay and it looks legit but I'm hesitant about doing something like this on Ebay.

I'm looking at the ones for the Grand Am in particular. They are ridiculously inexpensive compared to replacing with stock headlights. This is the main reason I'm concerned. Are these an option to even consider?

yea those bulbs will fade mad easily just go with sum HIDs form oznium.com

The Silvainia silver stars are pretty bright, they also sell the blue tinted bulbs.

If your housings are yello and dull you might need to replace the housings. I've seen those on fleabay, a pair for less then what the dealer wants for one housing.

which is better? HID lights or projector headlights?

HID's are brighter but they are illegal in all 50 states.
They also cost around $300-500 for HID.
I'd hate to waste money on them then have to uninstall them, plus HID's get very hot and typicaly melt the stock head lamo housings.

so im guessing projector headlights are the way to go. i changed the headlight bulbs to some bright white ones that im going to keep till i have the money for projectors. but puttin them in, they got unfocused. the lil turning thing doesnt do much, what should i do? and how do i know they are focused right? (i have 03 eclipse)

:lol: Well then you are in the wrong section!!

If the adjuster wont turn then you will have to replace that or the whole housing as most adjusters are not sold individually, just with the light housings.

sry bout that. i looked up headlight adjustment. didnt know it took me out of the eclipse section
