Our 2000 Montana radiator is leaking. I have been trying to figure out how to replace. Do I need to remove engine mounts from front of engine? If I do, how do I support the engine?
Why does it always have to be such a PITA to work on cars these days? I know it's a rhetorical questions, just venting.
Thanks,
SteveG

We just had the radiator repalced. It took the mechanic 2 hours to do the work. We did at the same time as a gasket replacement because there was a leak. I do not think any motor mounts were affected. They did not have to lift the vehicle.

Steve, are you talking about the two H-shaped mounts connected to the engine just above the radiator? If yes ...sure, those are just to stabilize the engine ...removing these two mounts doesn't require further supporting the engine. In fact, removing those allows you to ROTATE the engine forward. Gives you a 'chance' to reach those plugs on the back side. Sort of ...ugh.
If you mean mounts lower, under the engine ...they shouldn't get in the way of getting that radiator out of there.
Have fun.
