Ok, of course the car has the 2.4L (5spd man) in it, about a month ago I started experiencing problems with it stalling after it got to normal temp. If I sat in traffic for any length of time and the temp got just a needle width over 195 degrees it would start to sputter like it was being starved for fuel and sounding like it is only hitting on 3 cylinders eventually it would just die and not restart. After it would set for about 2 hours it would restart and run fine. Check engine light was on, so had a mechanic hook a diagnostic and it read that "bank 1 running lean" so he suggested it could be a partially clogged fuel filter. I replaced the fuel filter the car ran ok and the "check engine" light even went out on its own a couple of days later. Now after about a week, Im having the same problem again. It only seems to happen when the car has sat for a few minutes after being driven and then restarted, or attempted to restart. Its like its running out of fuel, which it isnt as it has nearly a full tank. I'm wondering if it could be the coil pack or God forbid the fuel pump? Anybody with simular problems that got it solved PLEASE help.

can the coil packs be tested to see if they are causing the problem?
