Can someone tell me if 285x75X16 will fit an 03 1500 without rubbing in the turns?

It better not, not sure if you mean 02 or 03, for the 03 i know it wont, cause I tried my friends 305/50/20 on my truck and it barley rubbed a 295/50/20 prob woulnt rub

I'm sorry I did mean 03.So your saying they will not rub? The 50 series are lower profile I think so they probably wouldn't rub anyway.

yeah low pro but also 20's and damn those things were chubby, 285/75/16 wont rub, stock rims are pretty similar i wanna say 265/75/17, but it could be wider.

The first number is the tire width. So yeah your friends rubbed since it was a 305. A 305 is about 12" wide. a 285 is about 10" wide. 295 is about as wide as you can go without any issues. I had 285/75-16 Nitto's on my old Yukon with stock suspension and there was MORE than enough room.

All depends on wheels. stock wheels, should fit, maybe minor rubbing. Great thing about stock wheels, you can fit damn near 35" tire with just a TB crank. If your running aftermarket wheels you might rub anywhere from a little to a s*itload... I was running 8 inches of lift with 20x10's (4.5 inches of backspacing and -24mm of off set) and rubbed like hell. Same tires on a 20x9"wheel (almost 5" of bs and -5mm offset) cleared by a mile

2003 1500 4x4.....305/70(33") tires do fit!!....just level out the truck somewhat, and maybe trim the lower bumper(plastic)....285's fit like they came from the factory, no problem!!

Ya 285/75/16 will fit. I've seen people stuff 315/75/16 in with a crank or ford keys and a bit of plastic trimming. Horrible CV angles tho.
