!Side mirrors!

Alright, this may seem a little weird, but I was wondering if anyone has tried to install the side mirrors with the puddle lights on a Ranger? I know that the Rangers don't have them, but the Explorers do. They are the little lights on the underside of the mirrors and they turn on and off with the interior dome light So this brings up a few questions-

1- Will the mirrors fit if I get them from a Explorer?
2- How Easy would it be to draw the electricity from the dome lights to power the puddle lights?
3- Would it be safe?
