91 Computer

Ok, I need to replace the computer in my daughter's 91 Bonne SSE. I replaced a computer in 89 beretta(s) before but NOW someone has told me that there is a (chip) in the old computer that needs to go into the new computer which has none. Would this be correct ? I am not paying someone $100 to put the new computer in when I am almost certain that if this is all you have to do I can more than handle this.

Thanks

Depends on where you are getting the computer from. Some already have the new chip, Some don't. The chip is easy to move just be careful and don't bend the pins. Make sure you get it in the right direction.

Open up the computer casing and carefully take out eeprom and insert in new computer and close back up.
