Bored Throttle Bodies & ECU.....

I know i have posted this question before, but i was looking to get a little more info on the topic... I want to put a bored out throttle body on my RS and everyone i talked to before told me i wouldn't have to reprogram the ecu or have to worry about any problems with the extra air flow, but i then talked to one of my friends dads, who was willing to bore it for me, who restores and modifies cars for a living, and he is also a certified mechanic. He assured me that i would have to reprogram the ecu with a bored out throttle body. I was just curious if someone could clear this up for me, or if someone here has done this and can assure me that i wont have problems, because i dont want to buy it if i need to reprogram the ecu, i am trying to stay away from that at the moment..... thanks!

Check your PM. I sent you it there before I seen the post.

Basic answer... No. Direct bolt on, no other mods needed.

On some cars you might have to reprogramed but no on these cars.

Agreed. Your not going to be flowing enough extra air to throw off the ECU. It will compensate with the correct amount of additional fuel without any reprogramming.
