How do you take off the speaker screen in the front doors of a 2002 GMC Sierra?

i think you have to take off the entire panel because it comes off from the inside....changing speakers is a pain in the butt....especially the rear ones!!!

I had to have the tweeter replaced in my 2001 and the dealer told me that the whole panel had to be removed to acess the speakers. I recently did some research and I found out that the amp section is 60 watts devided between the 4 channels.The speakers are Pioneer 6" wolfer(4 ohms)----Onkyo .60" tweeter(4 ohms)-----rear speakers are Onkyo 4by6(10 ohms)

i just upgraded my 02 speakers the whole door panel comes off, when you pop it loose you have to pull the bottom out a little bit then lift it straight up.
