87 FIERO Dies under load? help!

I have an 87 fireo, 4cyl. I Have two problems... PROB 1- About 50% of the time when I start it, It high idles at about 3k rpm, after a minute or so the idle will drop to norm and stay there. If I try to drive it before the idle drops, it stays high for a long time. PROB 2- this just started, after idle goes normal, I can rev it up with no problems, but if I put it in gear (5-speed), once I start to let out the clutch, I loose power, engine lights flash, radio shuts off then back on, engine dies but starts back up. This doesn't happen if I rev high and slowly let out clutch. This also happens in second gear if I step on the gas at about 2k rpm. Please help! thanks in advance.

***Unapproved link removed by Moderator*** This link tells you how to read the engine codes on a Fiero. This will tell you if you have faulty sensors on the engine. High idle rpm may be a vacuum leak. You seem to have an electrical problem if the radio shuts off. A loose wire, short or faulty ground. You could also have a clogged cat causing some of the stalling issues.
