Hey guys im new to the board. I am thinking about getting a car, finally. I was wondering how much you guys pay for insurance for your mustangs. Cause i know how much the cars i am looking into buying cost, but insurance rates are also going to play a big role in my decision. I am also looking into buying a camaro.

Rates depend on many factors. So what a member pays, may not be necessarily applicable to you. It depends on your age, use of the vehicle, location, any violations on your license, etc. Lots of factors. Depending on what type of coverage, deductible, etc. You see. A range of price can go from as low as $800(I wish it were me)/year to over $1500. It depends on what applies to you. Hope that helps.

That's because camaro drivers have a higher risk of dying because they go FASTER!!!

Ill tell u what u can do. I don't know how old u are but if ur my age 19 u can do this. Have the insurance under ur moms name and don't list ur self as a driver. I know it sounds dumb but wait. Our family lawyer says that if anything happens all i have to say is that my mom let me borrow the car. See since the car has full coverage i am treated as a passenger. I have been pulled over before and the cops have never said anything. All they want is the car to be insured. My mom pays 200 a month for full coverage on the 00Z28 and 95 ext.cab sierra, and liability on her 89 olds regency.

I just added my '66 Mustang Coupe to Allstate policy and it was $900 a year. They told me about a company that will insure collectables (less than 5000 miles a year and behind a locked garage door) for about a quarter of that. Good luck!

Im 20 and just switched to Liberty and with two cars on my name one being the 5.0 LX its just over 1850 a year, including a speeding ticket (Damn state cop), and an accident 50/50 fault. SO I'd say look it up online and take the free online quotes till you find the cheapest.

32 years old. No accidents and no tickets my attorney couldn't fix.
Sorry guys life sucks when it comes to insurance until you get over 25 some times until you get over 27. Especially when its High performace.

If anyone is in the military or has a parent in the military, check out USAA insurance. I was paying less than $100 monthly on my 89 LX 5.0. It may not sound like that good a deal but I was living in New Jersey at the time. Jersey has the highest insurance rates- YUCK!!!
