04 grand prix vss

I cannot for the life of me figure out where the vehicle speed sensor (vss) wire is in my 04 grand prix gt. I need it to connect my kenwood dnx 7100 HU. If anybody knows anything about it and where to find it that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

See the link below which has a pic. You have a 4T65E autotransaxle. The VSS should be located at the transaxle extension housing passenger side where you see the axle shaft.

sorry, but can you try to help me understand that a little better. I'm looking for the vss wire not just the vss itself.

The VSS wire (output) is located at the electrical connector located on top of the VSS. Does the system you are installing require a raw VSS signal before the PCM module or data after it has been processed by the PCM module. Also, you can tap into the VSS signal at the PCM module connectors. Which wire and pins by color coding you would have to refer to the GM FSM wiring diagrams for your year Grand Prix. I do not have that data.
