Porsche is likely to release the road-going GT3 to America, which was never sold in North America. Slated for spring of 2003, the car will be sold in a larger volume compared to only 250 GT2s sold on these shores. Sources are saying the engine will still be a three point sixer instead of 3.8 liter engine many sources have qouted. If the engine will be 3.6 liters it will have an uprated VarioCam Plus pushing about 380 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. But that does not rule out the 380hp 3.8 liter though. Curb weight might increase a small amount making an estimated total of 3045 lbs. Expect to see 18-inch wheels with complete aerokit on this special normally aspired monster. Also the price tag should be around $145,000.
