Problems with 83 5.0 T-Bird

I recently had my 83 5.0 T-Bird at the dealers for over three weeks. They tell me that they cannot mannage to get it to act up when on the Rotunda 500. In the beggining I had a miss for a split secound and then the car would return to normal idle. After checking the plugs, everything is fine. I have replaced the Map, Throttle position, Engine coolant and Canister purge sensors along with the full filter, plugs/wires, cap and rotor. The car no longer misses as hard as before, but It still lugs or lows down periodically random. I have checked electrical connections while the car is running but I still cannot hit upon the problem. It is though for a split secound the engine is not getting full or spark for that moment but after that the car ruturns to normal operation, untill it decides to do it again. Please, I can use any inforamtion. I would hate to sell it because I cannot figure out the problem. I will be waiting for insight.
Thanks, Brandon Woods. [email protected]

I would suspect the pickup in the distributor also the modules act up on these vehicles. You need a special puller for the pickup check if a parts store will loan you one. The computer ground is located in the kick panel by the pass side next to the computer. If it is loose it will cause all of these types of problems.
