We ran a little article in our Autofinder about this guy who lives about 80 miles out of St. George. He owns the photo Eleanor - there were several. There was the one for the driving scenes, the one for the actors to sit in for non-action scenes, and the one to be photographed for publicity and such. He bought the photo one - for $95,000 and has already made $25,000 doing shows and promos (people pay him to have the car at their events). He has a huge garage - like 25 car or so and it's filled with collectible autos, some he's imported from Europe, like a Renault, and a whole bunch of others that I don't remember offhand. Unfortunately I was not there the day they went and took photos so I did not get to go. :(

It was actually based on the Shelby GT 500 KR (for King of the Road version). which had extra scoops more power and better suspension than the regular GT 500
