'92 Caravan Stalling/Missing

Hey gang,

My father in law has a 1992 Caravan with a 2.5 engine. The problem that he is having with it is when you drive it, and the engine gets warm, it will stall when coming up to a stop light or stop sign as you deccelerate. The car will start up immediately afterwards, and allow you to drive away. Also, on the highway when you let off of the gas you can feel the car hesitate as if it wans to stall. The car kinda has a jerking feeling to it. In both cases when this begins to happen, if you step on the gas it will temporarily clear up. If you slightly ride the throttle at a light it doen't stall, either.

Most of the simple things have been looked at/ replaced (plugs, wires, coil, etc.) Some of my research on this sight points to speed sensors, but I'm not entirely convinced. Any thoughts, anybody?

Thank you in advance for your input!

Not familiar at all with 92s but, it depends on what type fuel system you have ie, carburated or fuel injection. If it's injection look towards the idle air control motor. It sits in the throttle body and is infamous for getting clogged with gunk etc. Other things to consider would be the EGR system and a vacuum leak.

I will take a look at it when I get a chance and post what I find.

Thank you for the input!

In the meantime, I'd welcome any other opinions...

Thanks again.
