This wil be my new project:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_001~6.jpg

A simple older kit from Fujimi. The model is curbside so no engine detail :(

Also not many parts:

The body looks fine:

But I just missing a nice spoiler on the thrunk. So I searched for a spoiler in my partbox, and found one that looks great to me.

The BBS RS wheels wich came into the kit will not be used. Instead I'll use Fujimi BBS RG 18'' inch wheels wich looks much better

I'll paint it TS-42 Gun Metal.

Nice, the wheels that came with the kit are the same ones as the box art?

Lol, your parts-box rear spoiler is the exact one that comes in the Hartge and Schnitzer versions of the kit.

Nice wheel choice, by the way.

Is the modelling of the rear bumper correct to the real car? Everytime I look at this model (fujimi M5) I feel as if the rear bumper is too wide and squarish. :dunno:

No, it's not correct at all. On the model there is an extra edge on the top, whereas on the real car the top of the bumper fits directly under the taillight. The trim strips are wrong too.

The depth of the bumper is too great as well. The car needs a "bumper tuck" to be more realistic. However, the appearance of the whole assembly is GREATLY improved with the removal of that extraneous "top edge" above the bumper itself.

Last days I painted the body with 3 layers of TS-42 Light Gun Metall.
After that I places the emblems and added a Bilstein suspension decal on the side.
I clearcoated it with TS-13 Clear.

And with the beautifull BBS RG wheels:

While this is drying for a couple of days I'll make a start to the interior or chassis.

Big update!

The last days I worked hard on the M5. I resulted in a complete body, chassis and interior :D

First the body.

I polished the paint and after that I painted the windowtrims.
The sidemarkers where painted smoke and the rearlights orange/red.

Than the interior.
I kept it very basic by using black and grey carpet. No special details or something just a clean and simple interior.

The chassis was painted and after that I weathered it a bit.
I also placed the bbs wheels and big brembo brakes behind it.

Is it just me or does that light gunmetal look slightly purple?

Love how it looks if a little bit too low for my own personal taste. Nice wheels and the chassis looks great. Interior is very clean but the carpet looks so thick! lol :)

The exhaust is weatherd to create a heatend exhaust.

The car is'nt too low cause this is a dryfit.... (read my posts)

And carpet is just as normal and not too thick...

rims are good choice, wing fits perfect, nice colour, and I like the weathering and the licence plate.
I'm waiting for the finished to see how it turns out with the wheels correct fitted to the body
