Hey everyone,
My 96 Cavaliers blower is only working on high. By blower I mean the fan for the heater/air conditioning.
Theres four settings it can be: off, low, medium, or high.
It only works on high and the others dont do anything. Any possible reasons as to why it may be doing this?
I was thinking maybe either fuses or the switch/knob it self, but then again Im only good at body repair not technical things.
Any ideas would be great.

The blower motor resistor is likely your problem. Common on these cars. It is located at blower motor under dash passenger side. Not a big job to do,just a tight location .....lol. get a new one so you know what you`re looking for . not that expensive, mine was around 38 bucks I beleive from the dealer, there are cheaper ones likely.

This happened to my 94 z22 last year and it was the switch... I replaced the switch, I think was about 15.00 $$... and it worked fine... probaly wearage or humidity doing this.

If the blower only works on high, it's almost always the resistor. I've only seen one instance where it was something else and I've probably replaced 40-50 resistors before in various cars. Pretty safe bet there.
