removing hazing/staining from rims...help!!

I posted a thread in the car detailing forum, but I still haven't found a solution to solve my rim problem. I have Impala style rims on my lumina and I think I didn't clean them properly and now I have a lot of haze on them. Seems as though I cleaned the rims but didn't dry behind the center cap...I got this spin-out on my wheels that WILL NOT come off...at least with anything I've tried. Any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to have them re-finished. I'll try to find a photo and post it.
