I am changing A/C compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube, but need to releive system pressures first. Is there a safe and easy way to do that without towing the vehicle to a shop?

Need to discharge system at home, because guess what, a/c compressor and or clutch locks up and car won't start anymore! Nice piece of reciprocal income for the engineers at Ford. Please help, I can't afford to tow the thing into town.

Just open the valve. It is like a tire valve. Be carefull, the feron will freeze anything it comes into contact with. Like eyes.

I have been tracking my gas milage every fill-up since I bought my 2006 FEH. I have an Excel spreadsheet and I compare the actual MPG to the nav system's guess. The true MPG is on average 3% less than what the car is saying, and I have never gotten the car to say it is at EPA estimated MPG. The sticker is only there to sell the car. It will always default on the best picture for the manufacturer.
