200 sx engine possibilities?

Just bought an '87 200sx turbo. CA18ET. Don't know much about these cars yet and am curious to know how easy I could swap a stock 240 motor in it. The car needs a new cranksaft. I think it would be easier and more beneficial to me to take this opportunity to upgrade. Any thoughts? any other tips from 200 owners?
