Geez, I thought it was the one a guy I work with told me about. Got into an argument, apparently this guy in Melbourne takes any Honda sports, modifies the head and whacks on a turbo and they all run 9's, but the guy was told in a pub in grafton, so it MUST be true.....

you mean the red EG with H22A turboed...LOL
that one hasn't even completed a quarter run without breaking anything!
it broke something in Heathcote last week just a bit down the track...and before that...kept on breaking drive shafts.

Online, Croydons and Hypertune are all waiting for stronger driveshafts to arrive from the US. All have run 11's with potential to go quicker. You know, like the potential everyones teacher thought they had....but didn't.
PS: Ran my car at the Creek again last night and the computer has taken a dump again. Ran a 2.0 second sixty foot time which no other FWD (turbo or not) in Australia can do on street tyres.
Microtech being fitted next week.........

Nah full street trim (except passengers seat)
Tyre pressures are the only thing I change at the track
Microtech, less weight : ) and then fine tune suspension. I really wanna run under 2.0 on street tyres which even the guys in the states can't do
Major power upgrades are next year : )
No use puttin in more power if you can;t get it to the ground

Street Racing has become very popular, (and dangerous) as it once was to the generation before us. Our Street cars have signed their names in the record books also. Charles Walker one of the pioneers of the quick streetcar has set a blistering, mind numbing track time of 10.63@132MPH in a completely street legal 1996 Acura Integra. In late Oct. the car was driven to the track and with the only thing changed from street form to race form were the front wheels and tires. It laid down two back to back 10 second passes. The car even had 18" wheels on the back!

Good day, folks,
I'm new to this forum but I'm trying to determine if I have the fastest Honda. This thread seems to be around the quickest Honda, and mine is definitely not quick. But it is fast. To be fair it is in a ground up race car built for ONLY going fast, nothing else, it hardly even turns. I run a 98% bone stock 2002 S2000 motor, no blower, no NOS, nothing except an Electromotive TEC III to run all the sensors, injectors and ignition, and hold a couple of World Records with a top speed to date of 258.839 mph. BTW that's MPH not Kilos.
I call it the World's Fastest Honda, but I'd like to be sure. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jim Knapp

Slave,
Not sure what your reply means, it's a bit criptic.
These forums are full of decal racers who think they get 25 RWHP by putting on a polished air cleaner, or think NOS is the answer for a poorly prepped ride. Seems like all kinds of kids are Fast and Furious wannabees.
"When the flag drops the BS stops", so they say. I do have one fast ride, with no decals BTW. I just don't have the need to, nor do I want to make a claim unless I can back it up.
BTW I may have to change it to "...fastest Honda on the ground". Have you seen the new Hondajet biz jet? 450 mph and waayyy sexy lookin'.
Have a great day,
Jim

Ok, in english, sorry, even I admit I take some getting used to, if you DID have THAT honda, wouldnt you KNOW it was the fastest?
jimknapp

Okay,
I DO have that ride and how would I know if it was the fastest? I do know most of the folks in the world who have cars faster than mine, and mine is officially (meaning it's been timed in a World Record Meet) the fastest Honda. But that doesn't mean there isn't some guy out there who has gone faster, even un-officially.
I just like to stay on top of the situation and see how much work I may have to do to protect my title.
All the best,
Jim
