Security System quirky on 2001 Grand Marquis

I took the negative battery cable off to do some work and when I hooked it back up, my security system has been hyper-sensitive, and starts honking sometimes when I get in the car even though the doors were already unlocked. Is there a re-set or something I need to do to alleviate the problem? It was fine before taking the battery cable off and putting it back on.
