I was reading a couple of articles showing stock specs of the 97 GXE and SE. it said that a GXE ran a 15 1/4 mile and a SE ran a 15.4.... and in another article it said the SE runs a 15.2 and the GXE ran a 15.5.... i have a 97 GXE and my bro has a 97 SE. we just recently ran them of the roll and it was pretty much dead even (he was slightley inching on me). then we did it again he launched early but i caught him and was about to take him. and i wanted to know how this was possible. i thought they both had the same enine specs. any feedback would be helpful(thanx).:)

They both have about the same engine specs, but no one drives the exact same way twice. im not at all saying that im a great racer... this is just an observation. The first run may have been a better reaction time from you or better shifting etc. the second may have been worse.
A lot of the time races are won because of driving, not because of power. i just think you have inconsistant reaction times, but just keep racing and you will get more consistant results.
