Make sure the battery is fully charged. Check for loose or corroded battery cables. Look for any loose wires.

It has to be a wire that is disconnected.

but if its a wire thats disconnected then why does it work if i "pop" the bonnet???? The things aswell is that it has started to tick over now but it wont "fire" up?

It's a brand new starter motor thats on it, it's on been on for just over a month.

Thanks

Something moves and the wire connects.

the bonnet hinges are near the wiring. check this hasn't rubbed through, and check all the wiring near the top where the bonnet could move it. Also make sure all the earth leads are on the battery. there are about 3 or 4
