I can't remember the rest I have raced a whole bunch of people.

In my old rex(sob sob r.i.p. old friend)I got a few vw's,seats(german car company) and a couple opels,my favorite though was this snotty lil audi a3 he almost had me but I'd rather destroy my motor then let that lil sh** win.He lost,car survived.I did however have my ass handed to me on a plate by a bmw(straight 6,89 325i).My 90 rex 1.6-i6 had about the same record.And my swap well we'll just say there are some sad bimmers,opels,vw's,hondas,and my fave-audi's mopeing around my town.Of course there is always someone faster out there.And street racing is dangerous,so with a baby on the way it's time to chill.

You do know the 5.0 lx mustangs could pull high 14s stock? They dont have all the extra weight of the GT. You must have one fast stock prelude, or he wasnt racing.

15.5 is what the prelude runs I believe, i'll be corrected if i'm wrong

But its no 14, nor is it low 15, soooo, probally not runnin.

mustang could have been auto, i seen this girl with an old auto 5.0 and that thing was slow as dirt, well for a 5.0

1. I pulled 15.1x in my friends completely stock Prelude.
2. My other friend who I was racing when I pulled the 15.1 above, also had a completely stock Prelude, pulled a 15.2+x.
3. Have seen other Lude's pull consistent 15.1s and 15.2s multiple times.

...and at the same time, I have seen stock 5.0's run 16's at the track...mostly bogged engines, poor launches and poor engines. Not to mention the poor drivers:rolleyes:.

No, he was racing. I know the kid. I beat him, simple as that.

Didnt say it never happened, but if both where at the top of their game then the mustang would have won. Simple as that.

Uhm...for once can you just congratulate somebody that beat a Ford(Mustang in particular) instead of trying to explain how the Mustang couldn't possibly have lost or the could'a/should'a/would'as of whether "they were at the top of their game"...

Truth to tell, a stock Prelude at the top of it's game, runs high 14's too.

Agreed...Please...No one cares about who WOULD/SHOULD/COULD have won, only about who DID win. And that would be the Prelude.

Well shit, that is a lot of cars to list, anjd I can't remember all of them so I will name off some that stick out in my mind for some reason.

A plethera of Civics and Accords.
Plenty of Ludes.
Two RSX Type S.
A bunch of Neons.
A Mercury Cougar, with a slipping clutch.

A crapload of Mustangs.
Some older vettes.

I mean the list goes on for miles, as for the other car.

Well, the closest I have come to loosing in the GTC was to an T/T Stealth, though I would beg to differ. I was sitting at a light next to this guy, no honk, no creeping, no light flashing, no hey you wanna' race, and not even a rev. He just floors it off the line, he got about two cars on me, and then I started to catch up after I let her loose it didn't take long until we were side by side and he slammed his brakes cause' he knew he was gonna' loose. At the next light I sat there revving the engine we both took off and I just walked away from him beating him by about three cars or so. I then slow down and he does the ricer flyby. Now that I think about it, I did loose to a debbaged Toyota Supra. I had no idea he was running twin turbos. Damn debadgers! Other than that the GTC was undefeated.

As for the TSi, so far I have lost to an F-body. I won't go into my old Daytona and Jeep, too many losses to count, fun though.

As for the Ferrari, it was a 550 Marenello. I pulled up next to him on the freeway and honnked for kicks and grins. I was ready to go, I just wanted to see what it could do, and how badly I would loose. I see him take it down a gear and I drop mine into low and just as I floor it he droped something and lunged down to pick it up. I pulled ahead and by the time he got on it I had already pulled in front of him.

Winning is winning. LOL :D

Really,? Didnt know the preludes where that fast. To bad Car and Driver and all the other testers couldnt get them to go that fast. ( fill inblank how the testers dont know how to drive and dont push the cars:rolleyes: ) I state facts, I know it isnt possible for a honda to lose to a mustang, but I bet somewhere it has happened before.
Oh, so carrnutt will stop crying, GOODKILL TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE KILLED MUSTANGS. Now back to facts......

To clarify, MY car, the GTC, was the one with the slipping clutch, I mean BAD. I had it replaced about a week later. What did you miss a shift? :D

What mods did the Supra have? Because if you smoked a Stealth by that much, you shouldn't have had much of a problem with a mostly stock Supra...

I guess I must clarify that as well, the Stealth was just an R/T, non-twin turbo. It haad the 224HP 3.0L V6 N/A. A TT Stealth would have taken me.

Notice how you turned this to us claiming that a Honda won't be beat by a Mustang. No. This is not about the cars. This is about how you react to people with cars you don't like winning over cars that you do...meaning this is about you, not about the cars. I have mentioned before that I used to drool over Mustang GTs when I was in high-school...so I have no problem with Ford in General, or Mustangs specifically. You have stated that you don't like Hondas...I have no problem with that either. You on the other hand, forget to realize these are cars(other people's, in fact), and seem to take it personally when your beloved Mustang loses...especially to a Honda. I am just saying that you need to just accept it, instead of explaining this/this and that away...you are making excuses for a car that is not even yours, belonging to a guy you will probably never meet....just because the guy that beat it happens to own a Honda. You are seriously starting to irritate me with this. I try to ask you politely and all you can respond with is this childish tirade about me crying. You know for years stock-for-stock, your vaunted GT never matched up against any of the GM muscle. Who cares,my moms got a 97 camaro and I've driven that and my honda within a a few minutes of each other the z feels good at low speeds lots of torque and has a higher top end but my civics handling feels less squirrely at higher speeds and yes in a mile or more the z is gonna win but off the line my civic spanks it and doesn't get passed till around 90mph or so,by the way it is(the camaro) a v8 stick not,v6 auto.So could everyone just shut up with the push rod import war and just accept that there is too many factors in a unregulated street race to say that this can't beat that,and that can't beat this.

Yes i was granny shifting not double clutching as i should have.Plus i was lucky all my NOS didn't blow the welds on my intake. I did lose a floor pannel though.:( :D

And can we lay off the bad movie qoutes,I think it has been established that the movie was ignorant and those that though it was real are silly.Not trying to be harsh but come on,enough is enough already.

Good job with the mustang. If you look at my first post it was not a flame. If you can step aside of the fact I drive a ford it could have been taken as a compliment, me saying you beat a car that I think is faster. It was stating the times of some cars. But, carrnutt, who has a personal problem with me, jumps in and turns the thread into a flame war, as usual. I have no problems with Hondas, just a couple Honda drivers.

-Subaru wrx
-1996 mustang GT
-an odd assortment of Honda and domestic rice.(civcs, integra, ect.)
-some 70s camaro at dragstrip.

I see, gotcha. In your orignal you said T/T. I didn't think that T/T was a Stealth designation, so I assumed the "/" was a type-o and you had meant TT(twin turbo)...As it is, sounds good:)

The Z28 if you read again I said I drove them both within a few minutes of each other ,but I did race my brother in it,and yes the tires spinning were a factor.And one more thing you can have torque and not speed,ask anyone who hauls stuff in their big trucks
The reason I say the civic will spank the Z is cuz it will off the line the Z has tons of power I wouldn't try to take that away from it but a swapped civic doesn't weight anything and is going to have the advantage(espeically against a novice driver).But like I said once you get to around 85-95 the Z is gonna smoke.

That's ok the beauty of my rex was that it went unnoticed,other than the tailpipe and rims it was an eyesore,pieced together bodykit old faded paint but the inside was clean and the recaros kept ya planted.I miss that car that's why I'm babbleing about it sold it to an idiot who didn't register it and it got towed,now it's sitting in the post impound lot!

i too have and love the recaros, they keep my fat ass right where its planted nice and comfy! :D
