Hi all!

I've just registered, so I thought I'd say 'Hi'.

I have been a visitor to the Forum for a while, and decided to join. Big shout out to Flyonthewall, your Scale Auto Style products are sweet!! Also to Lau Bak and Hiroaki Fukuda. You don't know me, but I've been a visitor to your own websites and enjoy looking at your models and very useful tips.

As for all the other members, your models are all great. Respect to you all.

Look forward to sending some pics of my own creations...when I can get my mits on a digicam!!

Cheers for now.:D

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

I can understand that it will be an addictive ride, as I was hooked when I was a visitor to the Forum.

Currently, the main projects are the Tamiya Nissan 180sx with Flyonthewall's bodykit and the Quik Skins Audi A4 BTCC. As with all modellers the 'to-do' list is endless.

Pictures soon I hope.:D

I purchased my Audi A4 kit from a UK source. The company is called Grand Prix Models, and can their website is:

www.grandprixmodels.com.

I think they may be able to accommodate you. If you use the online shop, look under the manufacturer: Quik Skins, Product code is: 001.

It's a nice kit, the bodyshell in particular. You have the option of making the BTCC version (driven by F. Biela) or the E. Pirro driven STW version. The only drawbacks are the decals are very fragile and I experienced a lot of difficulty in getting them to bed down. I used a lot of Micro Set and Sol and blasted it with a hot hairdryer. In hindsight, I should have coated the decals in decal protector before starting. Another thing is that there is no photoetch at all, so things like seat belts, tow hoops, etc would have to be sought somewhere else.

Finally, the kit is expensive! Because Quik Skins are based in the US, you may be able to get it cheaper from a US supplier.;)
