Hi there. I have a 93 chevy lumina base, auto, and i was wondering how to install a aftermarket tachometer. I dont have a tachometer to start with so i have no idea in where i connect everything up in the car?
PS i have NOT gotten a tachometer yet.
Thanks!

Assuming you buy a new tach, it'll have directions. There will probably only be a couple of wires, the most important one will be the tach reference lead which I'm sorry but I've never installed one on a DIS-type engine (multi coil no distributor) but I'm assuming you just have to locate the tach reference wire for the car's computer and tie into that. I'd assume this would run from the ignition module to the ECM, just have to identify it and find a conveniant place to splice or piggyback to it.
This is all just conjecture, as I said, I haven't done one on this type ignition....
