Well, I have a new member to my team, I raced him in his 15 flat *when it was stock* RS, now its -slightly- below that.

We lined up *with a flager* both powerbreaking waiting, when the guys hands went down, he chirped and went off, I sat spining torque stearing to the left slowly...finally traction, I ran through 1st up to 4,600 and shifted, by 4200 in 2nd I was neck and neck with him, we were pretty even till 70 and I started pulling, by 90 I had 2 lengths on him.

Next race, no flager just fucking around, this time I didnt spin, and I was gone, he tryed to catch up but failed, bad.

All in all, ,bad ass race, and the guy is cool as hell and so I envited him to the team. He might bring a 96 Z28 in with him.

All in all, a good weekend :bandit:

psssst... im no expert but RWD doesnt get torque steer... only FWD. Having to do with unequal driveshaft lenghts cause of the transaxel... or some weird explination.

what you had happen was the ass end step out slightly... we've done that billions of times in the Nova... Pathfinder... Trukk... Your car... its nothing new.

Hhaha he joined a team... what a dork hahaha... hmmm im supposedly on a team.. now its not so funny. wait... yes it is hahaha.

Anywho time to rock out... lates.

Cool kill :D

Aren't the RS Camaros V6's? A friend from high school had an '80s RS Camaro which was a V6...

Yes'm the RS is a V6, but comes with like a mild body kit deal and suspension upgrades... I think?

Funny, because you have no torque going to the front wheels, which is where you steer, so how could you henceforth have "torque steer"?
:D

Nice kill!

Wasn't torque steer tho, just had your ass end swing out on you. Need front drive to have torque steer! I'm a prime example of that!

:)

I've seen an RS with a 350, but it could have been a swap. They do look good though, like they're about to jump up and kick another cars ass.

TV raced like a 96 RS Camaro. V6 only.

You talking about older Camaros? Cause the 67-72 RS Camaros had 350s.

If somebody swapped the V6 for a V8, should of just bought a Z28. Save the time and hassle.

Or maybe it was a Z28 badged as a RS to fool people?

Nah, I know my Camaros, this was an 80's/early 90's RS, like this one.

In the 80's I think stock an RS Camaro could either be a V6 or a 305 V8.
The Iroc Z28 was either 305 or later on 350 automatic only.

To know whether the RS is a V6 or V8, look for the dual exhaust, thats about all you can do to tell the difference besides opening up the hood.

somehow this went from me racing a 96 RS to everything possable of the 80's RS...

What makes you think this subject won't go off topic? Every other thread does. Not talking about what you raced, just what the RS Camaro's had in generations.

Well of course it could! The geo is mad light, and has a smaller engine than even a honda! Also, it's front wheel drive, which as we all know, is the preferred setup for drag racing ;)
