I am looking to install a descently loud system. What would be peoples suggestions for subs, amps, speakers. I am looking to go big, but not too big.

For amps, Rockford Fosgate.
For subs, Kicker Competition.
For head units, the options are really up to you. Pioneer, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood.

I agree, Fosgates and Kickers sound really good. You can get creative with the head unit. They have so many good ones out now. Its just a matter of choice and how much you want to spend. Check out Crutchfield magazine or www.crutchfield.com for ideas.

I have always had good luck with Rockford and Kicker setups. Currently in my Maxima I am running a Kenwood C.D. headunit running the factory door and rear deck speakers, and an old Rockford Fosgate Punch 100 bridged mono running a Kicker XPL 12" in a sealed 1.4 cubic ft. enclosure. It hits extremely hard and most importantly (for me) it is very accurate. Good luck with your system.

you could go with many types of stereos. Umm how much do u want to spend? Are you looking for SQ(sound quality) or SPL(sound pressure level basically loud) or sq/spl?
