aftermarket headlights

ok i can already tell im gonna get yelled at about this post ;x

ANYWAYS, i need new headlights. mine are starting do that yellow stain thing you seen on old cars and its just plain tacky :( . so uh, what kind should i get. i thought bout the following:

APC CF housing - don't really like APC stuff, but the lights look nice
Projectors - these look really nice, but they're expensive
Angel Eye Projectors - too much money until I am proven it's worth it...
Black Housing Projectors - i saw these on a civic in my town, they look supa cool....

let me know what you think, and POST PICS! remember this is a 97 civic so plz only post pics of 96-98 headlights, cuz i don't wanna see some set of 99 headlights that won't fit my car. that's just useless ;)

if you want 2 go el'cheapo then get some black housing lights...
i like the halo projectors but 2 much loot and i don't know if you could safely use h.i.d's with them..

so does anyone know if hid's will work with halos? also would i have a high beams now?

Yea, i was having the same problem. I wanted to replace my headlamps w/ something that didn't have amber corners and made my car stand out. At my local car shop the projectors cost $400. That is way to much so I started looking online. A friend of mine has Halo projectors for his accord and they look real nice. I found some for my 96 civic on ebay for 210 w/ shipping. I don't have a pic of them on my car because i'll be recieving them this friday but i can show u a pic on the ebay site. Check em out because they are for sure the nicest ones out. They will make ur car look tight. I think they use 9001 and 9004s.

when you get these lights in and on can you show me a pic and give me all the details on how they look/work (i.e. do they take away from ur visability?).. personally i prefer painting the inside crome peice black but with hid's coming soon i want to have high beams still so i have to change headlamps :mad:

Yea, i'll give u a pic in a couple days...I just got them today. They might hurt visibility a little bit but not too much with xenon headlights. The visibility with the stock headlamps went up a bunch just with the $20 bulb change. The HALO rim hooks up with simple + and -. I'm gonna end up running both rings to a switch in my car and then to the battery. But anywayz I just took them out of the box and they look NIIICCE!!!!!

what bulb size r the lights?
and how will your high beams work now?

Civics have H4 bulbs. The ones it came w/ are H3s and i don't know the other one. They are much smaller though. They just have one plug and they should be set. The smaller one is low beam and the big one w/ the ring is high beam. Thats it.... should be real easy. I'm not sure if the bulbs they come w/ are xenon so i might have to replace them though.
