Alright..here's the thing...I'm on my 4th transmission...I keep blowing the differentials out of them...am I alone? I don't understand why...My car is lowered 2.8" and my camber is fucked but would it do that???
I'm so tired of changing transmissions...what can I do to build a stronger one or what can I put in place of a L3 tranny..

Well, it's either you get bad trannies to begin with or short of breaking or your driving sucks all together. 4 trannies, on how long of a period and how many miles? Do you race em? oil em? Something's wrong...give us the entire story, maybe we can help...:flash:

holy manoly! i agree with EF_LSVtec. i have owned many hondas...probably 8+ 4th gens alone. i only had problems with 250,000 mi. and over trannies

Alright here's what you have to do... first learn how to drive a stick J/K. Honestly though it all depend's on where you're getting your trannies from if your smart and did what I did goto a honda dealership and get a re-maned tranny from them ( I don't believe you can get them new anymore ) I spent alot more money on it but if it ever goes bad with-in their warranty time Honda replace's them at no cost to you. Do it right and spend the little more money to get a good one.

Well....I race them regularly...I mean I'm always on the gas..Burning out....Squealing 2nd gear...I run 5w30 synthetic oil in them like my local honda dealership told me to...The thing is its never the actual transmission its the differentials...on all of them...the speedometer still works and they still go in gear....the car just doesn't move....on all of them I blew the housings apart and gears and pins fall out...I live in the sticks of wisconsin and I have beautiful winding backroads where I don't let the rpms drop below 3500 and just go race...on weekends I hit Madison(our capitol city),and Minneapolis,MN where alot of street racing takes place and I drag from stop light to stop light....I was kind of thinking because my car is so low that the weird angle of the axles might be wearing on it..cuz I put brand new driveshafts in and 2days later there clicking....maybe I need a camber kit??? By no means do I baby it but then again I don't try and break them....I've been driving manual transmissions since I was 12 and I have never owned an automatic....Do you think I'm just flat out too hard on them..or is it my camber??? before they blow they act weird like they don't like to go into gear.....................PLEASE HELP...if this happens one more time...I'm taking the 5,000 grand offered for my car and buying a 5g civic

borg-warner basically oem....I resurfaced the flywheel and stuff.....that should be a plus for me cuz an aftermarket will bite better and just be more wear on the transmission

Only thing I can say right now is...since you're pretty much racing and beating the crap out of your car...I suggest to get parts and equipment made for racing. Get aftermarket axles, LSD, quaiffe or ats, heavy duty clutch, flywheel...there's a lot of research and testing that back up these parts, although you may not get much on warranty...oem trannies can take normal wear and tear and even occasional punishment, but it has its breaking point (like any other). Its not cheap, so if you cant play...just display.:D
