2001 Grand Am SE problems

I have a quick question,

When my car has been running for a while the security light comes on, but interestingly it's not the passlock. It just comes on and stays on until I kill the engine. Any ideas? It doesn't hinder the car but rather a nuisance.

Secondly my brake light on the dashboard stays lit after I turn the car on. The E-Brake isn't on so what is it that I could be doing wrong / needing to do? Any help that would be awesome! Thanks

With the security light, its probly a pass lock issue could be anything, wont realy know with out a good scan from the stealership or some other facility that can run the proper tests.
Though if you have a bunch of things hanging from your keychain, then that could be a contributing factor in tripping the security light. The weight causes the key to pull, not making proper connection inside the lock cylinder(part of the passlock syst).

Same with the brake light...
check the fluid level, if that's not the problem, then you'll hav to hav it scanned with an ABS capable scan tool.
