I have a 94 Rodeo, which dirves fine if u are willing to do the shifting manually. The trans cooling line was leaking and i replaced both otf them just before the problem started. Any ideas??

Did you check the level with the engine running and the trans in neutral?

Any ideas?? if you are saying your automatic transmission is in 'limp mode' and shifts fine manually, but if you start off in D drive it starts off in 4th gear...
then the cause is electronics. which can be internal trans electronics (solenoids, e.g.), or it can be external to the trans computer, but most causes is the charging system and usually the alternator but can be battery, connectors, wires, grounds...you get the picture.
any other symptoms besides being in limp mode?
