Hello,, ? I have a problem with my air conditioning. When the a/c is on the driver side blows cold air and the passenger side blow's hot air.Took it to the dealer they told me it is the ( air temperature actuator). The part is 203.00 and they will have to take apart the dash board apart .over 8 hours labor. So i'm looking atleast 800.00 dollars for this. Has anybody had this problem and is their another way around this fix. THANKS BIGMAC

Welcome to AF, there is an update bulletin that applies to this repair that seems to circumvent the dash removal, not sure here but I believe it applies to this actuator. If not ,yes it is an 8hr job, did one a full size truck last year.

:grinno: yippee FIXED MY OWN PROBLEM WITH THE A/C .LOWERED GLOVE BOX AND TO THE LEFT THEIR IS THE AIR TEMPERATURE ACTUATOR.A SMALL LOOKING BOX.AT THE BOTTOM IS A SILVER PIVOT ARM.TOOK A LONG FLATHEAD SCREW DRIVER PUT IN THE GROOVE AND TURNED IT EASILLY.PUT THE AIR BACK ON AND NOW I HAVE AIR COMING OUT OF THE PASSENGER AND REAR AIR DUCTS.SEEMS THAT IT JUST GOT HUNG UP.I HAVE TAKING IT FROM HEAT TO AIR MANY TIMES AND IT IS WORKING PERFECT.WELL I GUESS THE DEALER IS OUT 800.00 DOLLARS B/C THATS WHAT HE SAID IT WOULD TAKE TO FIX IT.$200 FOR THE PART AND 8 HOURS OF LABOR .SAID THEY HAD TO TAKE THE WHOLE DASH APART.
