Can the front dash vynil be removed and then reupholstered with another color?? I was looking at it, it looks like the vynil can be pulled off.:licka:

Honestly, get some fabric and vinyl dye, or just reupholster as it is. There is no need to remove the stock stuff.

Dupli-Color Fabric and Vinyl Paint is the easiest way..

or you can sand, primer, sand, primer, sand, primer... until the texture goes away and the primer fills in all the cracks so it will look smooth and fiberglassed...

Cody why don't you just go to a junk yard or ebay and buy a grey dash pad?

or you can sand, primer, sand, primer, sand, primer... until the texture goes away and the primer fills in all the cracks so it will look smooth and fiberglassed...
^ WRONG. DO NOT do that to vinyl.

I really don't want to paint it, Iv'e read that alot of people who did that it bubbled afterwards or fades. I already have all the supplies that I need to reupholster the dash. I just want to know If it can be done or not. And If so, will the old vynil need to be removed or can it just be applied over the current vynil dash. Just let me know, I really appreciate all your help.

If you use Vinyl and Fabric paint on that rubbery dash piece, it will work fine, just spray it on, lots of clearcoat and have people keeptheir hands off it when its back in and it should be fine, mine has never bubbled or chipped, those people who say it has, didn't use vinyl paint.
