I have an 89 dx. I need a motor badly and want to add extra performance with a z6 swap. My question is, I dont have the money for the si injection parts etc right now. Can I put in a z6 motor and just bolt up my stock dual point injection to it for now, till I get the injection parts etc? Thanks, Jay:eek:

I believe it will work...since you can put MPFI on a DPFI engine, I dont see why you couldnt put DPFI on an MPFI engine. I know Melt has DPFI on his ZC.

the z6 should come with an intake mani...then all you'll need is the p28 ecu (which you should get for the swap anyways)...

what is it you are thinking will cost so much to do the MPFI conversion?

Yeah it will run. I did that for a few weeks until I got my mpfi stuff, in my old civic.

If you use the DX Dual Point intake, i wouldn't suggest activating VTEC. the 2 puny fuel injectors might not supply enough fuel and your engine will lean out and that isnt good.
