emmisions problem

we replaced air injection pump but check engine light is still comming on - does anyone have and idea what the problem might be??:banghead:

Well, you have to know the code in the computer to determine which system to focus on, otherwise your going nowhere.. what is the code??
Not many of these vehicles had air injection from factory and most pass emissions clean as a whip.

What engine? If it's not a locked up air blower, it's usually the check valve that injects the air into the exhaust manifold. Trace where the air tube leads to the exhaust manifold. The tube will terminate at an electric solenoid/check valve. 9 out of 10x it's a sticky valve.
