Glad to see you got a race already. I love the MS6! I raced a Mazda 6 before and barely edged it out but I am pretty sure the MS6 would leave me far far behind lol. Nice kill.

Welcome to AWD turboland. I was planning on getting one of these when I bought my WRX but couldn't come up with the extra cash at the time. Now I kinda wish I had. Is it the base model? I always thought these probably had a lot of potential and will probably get more mod support now that the speed3 is out too. Is there any similarity in the engines on the two cars?

A kill's a kill, nice to have the Kaz back on the boards though. Have any future plans for the speed6?

Cool car. I've actually never even seen an MS6 (or MS3 for that matter) on the road, but it's possible I just missed the badge. Did you check out the Subaru Legacy GT before you settled on the Mazdaspeed 6?

There have been numerous comparisons between the Legacy 2.5GT and the Speed6 ever since rumors were being whispered about the car. I wasn't a huge fan of the layout of the gt and the outside appearance wasn't doing it for me either. Both cars are equally fast, but the speed6 had a better financing program for me .5% interest and really the looks of it which had me sold.

I don't think you can lose either way. I'm thinking about buying a used Legacy GT some time next year.

I think the speed6 will fetch a good amount of money on the second hand market in the long term future. In the US they seem to be very rare. On the other hand, there seems to be as many legacy gt's as there are legacys.

I test drove the 2008 WRX and sad to report the speed6 felt faster but didnt handle as well.
i heard they cut ALOT of weight of the 08 Rex but its still like 224hp. the MS6 is like 270 or so.

From what I read and saw, its the same thing just uglier.

And the car I looked at looked even more cheaply built chassis wise. I think they blew there load on the interior :?

The EVO X will be offered in a 6 speed manual transmission. It will also be offered in an automatic transmission that is available with shift paddles that is also a 6 speed.

not really, nothing fancy interior wise and didn't have anything that stood out...just a pretty bland interior.

paddles kan ciss my donkey. What is so hard about shifting a damn tranny anyway? people are so useless these days. I was interested in an '08 accord v6, but you can only get a manual on the woosy little 4cyl. that 4cyl w/stick would almost certainly be more fun than the v6 auto. I drove a v6 '06 with 6 speed and was really shocked at how good the tranny was. I have also driven the WRX in auto and manual and couldn't believe how lame the auto was. Auto transmissions just SUCK in jap cars.

yeah the mazda speed 6 is like the GTO. good cars that no body seems to like, and now they're practically giving them away to make room on the lot. Even though i'm personally not a fan of the ms6, its still an overall nice car. I'm just wondering how they're gonna tune that direct injection system once the stock fuel system has reached it limit. they're probrably gonna run secondary injectors in the intake manifold.

say whaaaaat? I had the hardest time finding one here. They are some rare cars somehow.
I love how alot of ppl don't know what it is, unless they know something about mazda.
