The check engine light is on and the code says its my coolant system. It suggest that my sensor is bad. The book at the auto parts store says its on the thermostat housing on top the intake manifold. It is not.
Can anyone tell me where it is?? And is there a way to test it??
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

No it's not located there. I have the SAME problem with my 99 Sonata. I was wondering if you have experienced any problems in the preformance of your car due to this faulty sensor? My check engine lit up and that was the code, "the coolant system sensor," actually there are two coolant sensors. It is hard for me to explain to you in words exactly where it is located. It's right in front of your face when you open the hood. It's located on the right of the engine in the front. There are two wires with clips, one at the bottom and one above. Go ask someone who works in the auto parts department at your local Hyundai dealership and they should be nice enough to show you on their computer exactly which clips I am talking about are located. But be careful. As I stated, there are TWO sensors for the coolant system and you need to know exactly which one it is that you need to change. They do not cost too much, $35-50. This is a repair you can easily do on your own once you know where they go.
