Help!! 1993 Taurus SHO wont turn over

:frown:I have a 1993 ford taurus SHO and I broke my key off in the ignition so I went down to an authorized for dealership and baught a new ignition switch and had it re-keyed alike to the same as my old one and installed my new ignition switch I get nothing when I turn the key... everything on the dash lights up and all the accesories work, but when I turn it forward to start it I get nothing, the starter won't even turn over..... is this an anti theft feature.... or did i not hook up the ignition switch corectly??? it started up fine before I replaced the ignition...:frown:

Your 1993 SHO does not have any sort of anti-theft system. Sounds like you probably have an issue with the installation of the key cylinder switch, but I'm not sure what it would be. Are you sure the new cylinder is installed and seated properly? Have you tried removing it and reinstalling it?
