hello all this is for all of you who don't have the ability to use the high priced printer like the ALPS and others, so I have away for us to make some good or mybe good print on our cheap printer. some of you may have seen the Decal tutorial that was part of my Sidewinder project. This time I'm going to take pates of that and some new stuff I have and put up a hole Tutorial for you all if you dont like this pleas put your :2cents: in that will help others out.
Ok when I wanted some carbon Fiber decals and called Scale MotorSports at that time I was unable to get what I need so I came up with this first one.
[I'm going to give this in text and images.]
First I went to a site that had the images i need they where not small I was lucky they wher Rectangle not square its hard to do this with square. Well ones I made mini copys of the carbon f. images I cut thim out and taped all the images together, thin I reduced the size over and over till I got what I thought was the right size for me now It was all done on the printer not in the PC thats next.
I should say thanks to HiRoBoy for the images from his site.
The Vertex Soarer

1.all images taped together after all the resizing.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20work%20out/Decalstuff2.jpg

2.I Used Testors clear decal paper. once you have the images you need just hit print on the full page of images.(Now you printer my cut off some of the image so it can fit as much as it can on the small sized decal paper. You my need to get some Decal paper at the size of 8-1/2 X 11" to have a hole page.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20work%20out/Decalstuff3.jpg
Now if you want your images darker just Run it one more time. Now this is hard to get the lines lined up right (this is if you don't have a printer that you can control the darkness).

3 Use the Testors Decal Bonder they say to use it only onec but for me I did it with two passes.

The decal on the drive shaft. Hears a nothere way to make your decals darker. put two on one over the other.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20work%20out/Decalstuff7.jpg
I used tamiya clear over the part be for I found a way to make the images on the parts darker I used Tamiya smoke over the decal.

Decals for the poor man![Tutorial]Part II

Now this next part was done on the PC using Microsoft works. now on some of your PC's have a different name for your word processor. See I need some decals for one of the drift cars I working on, the first time I tryed this it work so I did it over and over now I have a lot of decals to use.

1. Go in the your word processor program (Microsoft works)
and pick wich way or what type of letter you can put images on I picked Menus.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating1.jpg

2.Now go in to Menus and pick the one that you want or need (Noe I didn't try ever one so I picked the two with the dark blue and the dark brown borders.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating2.jpg

3. Pick the one you need to start on should look like this.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating3.jpg

4. Now you need to clear all words and images if there are any. click and hold you first mouse button over all words and images they should turn blue of black then hit delete or the arrow key. Now your ready!

5.first you need to have your self on the net at the same time your doing this, just keep it at the bottom of the crean. Where ever you choose to take you images from is up to you I used HiRoBoys Model pages for what I needed. Then I just do what we all have done when we see some thing that we like (hint hint); Go to the images you need and thin Rightclick on your mouse (that copys the image) then go back or bring up your word processor program (Microsoft works) and Rightclick in you menu and paste your image. (now this is some thing that I tryed) keep pasting you image over the other ones but set them off just till you can icelate the logos that you need. I hope that word is right and the images give you what I'm trying to say.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating7.jpg

6. Now that you have the images you need print them out. An cut thim out.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating8.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating9.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating10.jpg

(You can see that they are to big in scale that the decal paper that in the back ground)

7. You need to reduce the image down to 1/24 scale. Take you Logo image and scan them in to your printer or Photo shop (Now I know that not all of you have Photo shop) I don't have it but on my printer I can print real Photos so I'm using that program to resize the Logo images. My Printer is a HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One, and it comes with a program. if you don't have a program like this you can fall back on (from part 1 step one) take your images and make copys over and over and resize as you go then thats that and all you have to do is print your images out. But for those who have a program like my program pull up the program.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating11.jpg

8. Now pull up your images and you should be on the editing section here you can simply resize you images by picking the Photo size I picked for 1/24 scale (3.5X5") it worked for me.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating12.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating13.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating14.jpg

9. Now make a test copy and cut a sample out and see if it fits you project car or truck.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating15.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating16.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating18.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating17.jpg

10. Now if you like the new size you can just go or bring up your editing section and pick print 2 or 4 pages (now on my program I copys the images 2 or four times on one page) if yours will not to this go to your Images thum nail section leftclick copy the image like Part II step 5. to dulbble up your images. then print out a sample.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating19.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating20.jpg

11. Like in Part 1 step 1 you need to cut out all the Logo images and put thim together to cover a hole pice of the decal paper (still i'm using Testors) size 5.5 X 8.5" 139mm X 215.9mm(Thats whats on the box cover) :smooch:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating21.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating22.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating23.jpg

12. Make a test copy to see if you placed thim right then it's time to do the real thing put your Decal paper face down thats shiny side down Testors Logo up and hit print.
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating24a.jpg

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating25.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating26.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating27.jpg
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20Cheats%20Part%20II/Decal_Cheating28.jpg

An that's it you have some cool decals. now if you go to HiRo's Site and want to decal set there you will need to step 1-10 from Part II but when you in your Editing Section use the Imaging section to make you images darker and get that light blue back ground out.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/White_r34/Vincents%20How%20tos/Decal%20work%20out/Decalstuff8.jpg

I'd like the thank HiRoBoy for his site it's what made this possible.
I wish i could post this in the Tutorial section but I think it's up the AF people to let me or not.
Seems' to be ok now, no Copy Right problems.
