COMPLETE: 2007 Budweiser Chevy(Magic Shock)

Since Dale Jr. probably won't win another race at DEI, I decided to build his second place car from Pocono a few weeks ago. I chose this car because of the fact that it ran so horribly for the first half of the race. During a caution that Jr. himself brought out, the team changed the left front shock and that completely changed this car. Restarting 26th, Jr. powered through the field into the lead. Unfortunately, Kurt Busch ended up winning the race..... with Jr. finishing second.

I used a Revell kit with some basic mods...... I cut off the kit rocker skirts and made some new ones out of sheet styrene, moved the exhaust to the right side, & lowered the suspension. The paint is Tamiya bright red over a white base with Transtar automotive clear all polished out. The decals are from Power Slide & JWTBM.

I can't tell the difference between the real car and the model!! Great work; I recognize this car from a diecast 1:24 in the display case at my dad's auto shop.

Nice Jay, very nice. I do hope you are wrong about him not winning any more races at DEI though (I can hope right :disappoin ). The paint and the stance really do it for me on this one. Outstanding work, and I hope you share some test shots of that Corvette kit.
