Custom Ferrari F430

Veyron

This is a little styling exercise I did on Fujimi's F430 kit.:screwy:

I never liked the 'shark nose' openings on the 430 much so I reshaped them. I also reshaped the side windows to mimic the flow of the air scoops on the haunches. Lastly, I lowered the tail lights.

The body color is a mix of Lambo's Giallo Spyder and Ferrari's Verde Chiaro Metallic. The interior is a mix of Acryl's Sloth Brown and Canine Brown, the black is Dragon Black.

The wheels are Fujimi's 430 challenge painted black.

Wow good to see one of your builds again. Impressive work, the mods are really subtle but quite effective. Once again your paint looks miles deep and smooth as glass. I'm about to be starting the revell kit for the 60th anniverary build. Hopefully I can make it look half as good as your masterpiece.Keep up the great owkr! So whats your next build gonna be????

You're simply a genius and an artist Brain! :worshippy How the hell can you build this good and fast? It will take me at least 3 months to get such a result... I like your creation on the F430, looks really sensitive. And nobody doubts that you're an expert of choosing colors. The only thing that I could add my 2 cents was that I dont think the suddenly intermited panel lines on the back bumpers are as reasonable as everything else. But after all that's a damn fine built! Congrats on another one!

Veyron: speaking of modelling your stuff is superb, as ever.

Speaking of design, we come in the taste land, and you know: everyone have different tastes.. so TBH I agree with you on the 430's criticism but I don't agree at 100% on the solution: I love those 3° window trim, it give a new aggressive design to the whole profile. Than I agree with you with the front grills but I don't like yours, to me they're too little, the nose become havy. Also I agree on the tailigts: I dunno like so much the standard 430's solution, but this one is a bit strange, remind the 360 but need to be smoothed more with the spoiler: I said just for my tastes, the execution is superb.

You know it was kinda strange at first sight, the design modifications as well as the color, but it turned out at the end I like it! Personally I'm not brave enough to modify a Ferrari good enough to my own expectations, I think you did a great job on your one! :grinyes:

Hi,

interesting colour, that fits in my opinion to the car very well, smooth finish.

Concerning modifications the idea to lower the rear lights isnīt bad, kind of memory of older Ferraris, however Iīd prefer the stock front.

'Bout time we finally get to see this one finished, mister!

Love the quarter glass treatment. Still unsure about the grilles, and I kind of like the stock F430 taillights, with them mounted lower it almost has a timid look to it; and the unresolved issue of the rear bumper cut line...oh, I'll stop now  It looks great, I can't wait to see it in person. Getting this one done means the next great Ferrari concept moves to the front burner, eh?

From my personal viewpoint:

I love the window treatment
50-50 on the rear taillights
Definitely not into the new front air ductsA great execution and color combination.

WoW, Neat looking model. It looks good from every angle, if I weren't indoctrinated with the existing 430, this could evenwell come from maranello.

I actually like the rear lights on this one, the front is a nice change and all in all it's not an unpleasant variation on the existing 430.

Can I say, good jearb?

Thanks for all the comments and critiques.....I realize when you mess with Ferrari design you are stepping on holy ground.:1zhelp:

Here's some more pics, indoor this time and they turned out pretty good. You guys are correct to point out my laziness on the rear panel lines. At this point my only alternative to fix that was to apply a very thin pinstripe. After all, if ZoomZoom can paint on door handles... a pinstripe to replicate a panel line should pass too.:icon16:

I love the tail lights, love the window treatment and love the color scheme. Not real crazy about the front openings but don't care much for the original either. One thing is for sure... these latest pictures ROCK! :ylsuper:

Awesome work, the pinstripe came out excellent, looks like there a real panel line there.

This diecast model is crazy. This might be the best custom diecast model that I have ever seen. the paint is crazy. I also like the rims.

Looks so good it could be a diecast... :spit:

Seriously though, you know how it is... a well built plastic model looks like a diecast and a well built diecast looks like a plastic model... according to some people anyway.

love the paint, even as far as the model coming together with the black wheels, the choice of interior color, and exterior. Came out great. The C pillar modification is very interesting. It could be said that it flows better then the original design. The tail light modification, I could take it or leave it, but it was perfectly executed none the less.

The front fascia, I do not like. Functionally, you've given the car emphysema, reducing its breathe. Asthetically, it doesnt look right to me.

Amazing how I missed this one.

The car looks absolutely great.
Nice color and the interior is also looking very nice.

I like the adjustments you made to the car (although I'll stick with the original for the one I'm building)...

Very nice, superb paint finish, I like all the modifications except not too sure about the openings in the front spoiler, were they larger on the original to get enough cool air for the brakes?

WEIRD COLOR!

gee, the more i look at the color of this ferrari...the more it grows in me!
i must admit that i'm NEVER a fan of green ferraris but this...this kinda grows in me...man, I LIKE IT!

yes, from what the others said, you seem to have 'smoothen' the whole F430! it definitely looks smoother! not so to the front mod though...

i bet ya' if this is a 1:1 real car, it will beat the stock F430 by 0.5s from 0-100kmh!!!

great job & bold!
