I have a Chev venture, and its got around 250000 KM with no major mechincal problems, however i'm now having a few issues,

I used the interior light override switch for an extended period of time and well none of my interior lights work my dash ones work but the visor lights and curtasy lamps are not working

The Drivers window doesn't go up straight? leans to the front of the vechicle, i removed the interior panel and the part of the X thingy thats for the front seems a little loose?

The Driver and passenger unlock buttons do not work not sure whats wrong however the control thob works

The blower doesn't blow air on settings 1 or 2 all the other speeds work

The rear wiper motor doesn't move it sounds like a weird grinding, however if the switch it on, the arm does move back to orignal position if i force by hand

anyone have some advice on were to start?:banghead:

For your "The Drivers window doesn't go up straight? leans to the front of the vechicle, i removed the interior panel and the part of the X thingy thats for the front seems a little loose?", start by spraying silicone spray to the point of soaking the vertical felts guides at the front and back of that window. It works to correct the leaning if there is not something else wrong inside the door. Just wipe off the excess that sqeezed onto the window after cycling it a few times. You may have to hold/guide the window so it doesn't lean forward for the first 1-2 full up/down cycles. Then it should work fine. May need to do this every so often depending on climate/moisture the felt sees. I had to recently reapply the silicone spray after about a year in Southern California. Worst case, you may have to order and R&R these felt inserts. Let us know what solves it. Good luck

i adjusted the X thingy, that moves the window up and down, so more force is on the front, however i will try the spray lube on the felts, what brand did you use on yours?

The brand was from the company that makes/used to make the white lithium grease we all used to use in the 70s for are vehicles. Anyway, the only issue with this spray silicone from this company is that it comes out a little foamy and liquidy which works, but is a little messier that the straight silicone spray. I had to re-apply to the felts on my 97 after it was making a slight whining noise, but now it is gone. I would apply to both the DS and PS. Good luck.

The run channel needs to be replaced the felt has worn off and causing the window to lean. The regulator may be bent due to the run channel worn. The door locks probably have a broken or corroded wire connction on the right hand side of the van under the carpet about where the passengers right foot would go. The wiper motor sounds bad and the blower motor resistor is burnt and failed
