Crazy, not getting any codes on the tester. It seems to stall out when the car is warmed up. At that point it revs but wont turn over. The strange thing is the power windows wont work when this problem occurs. Today i sat in a praking lot for about 10m minutes when it finally started after repeated tries. I got home had the car in reverse and went to use the windows and it stalled again with the same problem. tried the tester at that point and got no codes?????:banghead:

HELP?????

There's about a 99% chance this will fix your problem & it won't cost anything. Well maybe a couple dollars if you don't have dielectric grease.

BTW - It's the connector that all the black wires are going to.

Yep, Your gonna like this.... lmao. Found those clips wich are wrapped in electrical tape pretty good but they are sitting in water. :runaround: I know the doors leak at the seals so that could be that problem. It started right up just now but it does that when it sits for a little while. I have them out of the carpet and away from the water right now. I'm gonna clean them up like you mentioned and we will now in a few days if it works. Man do i feel like a tard now..lol

Thanks again bro,

tony

The leak is gonna be harder than I thought. I called a dealer nearbye for a price on door seals, weather strips, whatever they call them....they told me they are discontinued. What to do??? I will say the electrical problem with the stalling etc... is gone. Cleaned the connectors real good and used the dielectric grease suggested. It costed $8 to fix a problem that someone else wouldve charged $100's. So I say thanks again. If you have any ideas on some seals for the doors and how I can get them to stop the leaks let me know.

later,

tony

This weather-stripping usually shrinks in the bends and pulls away from the metal where it should seal. Try this, remove the door-sill, cut the stripping on the lower horizontal section below the door, then separate enough to push all the weather-stripping back up, into the bends. You can use some clear silicone if you like to help hold it in place. Now, go to the JY and rip another seal off of a donor car, to use for the lower section fill. If you have a 2” gap, cut the same amount from the spare section. Apply black silicone to both ends of the 2” section and install. As always, allow the silicone adequate time to dry.
