Replacing power steering pump

I haven't had the opportunity to replace the power steering pump on my 97' Silverado. I wanted to know if I had to remove the whole steering pump pulley? It seems to be attached to the A/C unit bracket. Any tips of instruction will greatly be appreciated!

if u are replacing pump u remove pump w/the pulley on it. then u remove pulley when its off of car.pulley is pressed on so u need special tool to remove
