Good V-tread mud tire?

Does anyone have recommendations on a good mud tire with V-treads that I can put on a stock Ranger 4X4? There are currently 30" wheels on mine held up with a 16" alloy rim. I would like to keep the tires 30", and end up with a V-tread design. I'm liking the looks of the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw MTZ, but I think the smallest one of those is a 31" tire with a 15" rim (and I do not want to change rims either! :screwy:). SS-Boggers are out, as they do not have enough angle in the V, and I want a bit of a pronounced V for lateral traction (boggers have very little). It will be on-road, so DOT must approve it. It looks like a 31" tire would fit, but I've read that you must trim the fenders out for them (and I do not want to do that, or put a lift). Does anyone know of a similar off-road tire that would fit, with a bit of a V in the tread?

i had a 87 ranger 4x4 and 31"s fit on it good.. except for when you turned it to the fullest extent.. depends how wide they are.. mine were 10.50,, really had no trouble.. i had trail climber tires, went through alot of mud for it being stock

The 31's I saw went on 15" rims, and my truck shipped with a 16" rim. I don't think I can downsize the rim because of the brakes (they'll rub the inside of the rim). All the tires Dick Cepek and Mickey Thompson had in 16" rim were at least 33's, and I don't think that would fit in my fenders.
