Check Engine Light just turned on

So I finally changed the fuel injector that was out on my 1st cylinder and did my 3000 mile oil change. When I try and start the car, it kind of struggles to stay on. I have to pump the gas to get it to rev. because it keeps wanting to rev at like 200-400. Once the car is on, I feel a power loss from 1500-2500 and then immediately picks up. When Im on the freeway I smell alot of gas and it feels like its sputtering.
Im kinda thinking that its running rich right now and hoping that the cpu resets itself to read the increased fuel its receiving now. However, my check engine light just turned on today.
What do you guys think is the problem?

if you hooked everything up and dont suspect any other vacuum leaks, try this. unplug your coil/distributor you dont accidentaly spark a fire, then remove all your spark plugs. have someone flip the key to ignition but dont start it (yknow where all the dash lights are on) look in the plug holes with a light. you should not see fuel dumping into the cylinder. if you do, that injector is bad.

Turns out the fuel injector was faulty so I replaced that but now there is white smoke coming out of the exhaust.
If its white smoke, then that should mean that its a water leak somewhere, right?
I took it to my friends shop and he cant figure it out either. He asked me if I recently overheated my car, I guess to see if the water would be leaking from somewhere else but I didnt.
Any ideas?

could be a few things. dump some seafoam in and see if that helps. dont judge exhaust smoke by its color. judge it by its smell. very very different smells depending on whats wrong.
